  • The Somerset ES Foundation and PTA work hand in hand to support our school and community. The Foundation provides a dedicated funding source for capital investments and programming enhancements that are not possible within the MCPS budget and are outside of the PTA's allowable scope.

  • Many employers offer matching gift programs that can double or even increase the impact of your donation. To find out if your company participates, check with your employer’s benefits or community giving department. If your employer requires additional information or documentation, the Foundation can help provide the details needed to complete the process. Within organizational giving systems, look for the “Somerset Elementary School Educational Foundation.”

  • We raise and invest funds to enhance the academic outcomes and well-being of the Somerset Elementary School community. This year, our focus is on:

    ●  Enhancing the STEM Curriculum- Continuing our partnership with the Bethesda KID Museum to bring hands-on science to our students

    ●  Providing Learning Tools That Make a Difference - Funding Media Center subscriptions aligned with MCPS curriculum to enhance student resources

    ●  Supporting Community Needs - Assisting families in need with our food pantry and grocery cards, because when our community thrives, our kids thrive

    ●  Promoting Teacher Well-Being -  Upgrading our teachers' lounge because happy, supported teachers = amazing classrooms
